Objective

Be the first player to reach square 100 (or the final square).

How to Play

1Setup

  1. Print the board and cut out tokens (or use coins/buttons).
  2. Each player places their token on square 1 (or off the board).
  3. Decide who goes first — youngest player or highest dice roll.

2Taking a Turn

  1. Roll one die and move your token forward that many squares.
  2. If you land on the bottom of a ladder, climb up to the square at the top.
  3. If you land on the head of a snake, slide down to the square at its tail.

3Winning

  1. The first player to land exactly on the final square (100) wins.
  2. If your roll would take you past 100, you must bounce back the extra squares.

4Variations

  1. You must roll the exact number to enter square 1 (strict start).
  2. Play with two dice for faster games.
  3. Add house rules: landing on a snake sends you back to start.
