Fill every white cell with a digit 1–9 so each "run" of cells sums to its clue number, with no digit repeated in a run.

How to Play

1The Grid

  1. The grid has black and white cells.
  2. Black cells contain clue numbers in their top-right (Across) or bottom-left (Down) triangle.
  3. White cells are filled with digits 1–9.

2The Rules

  1. Each horizontal run of white cells must sum to the Across clue above it.
  2. Each vertical run of white cells must sum to the Down clue to its left.
  3. No digit may be repeated within the same run.
  4. Digits are always 1–9 (never 0).

3Strategy

  1. A run of 2 cells summing to 3 must be 1+2. A run of 2 summing to 17 must be 8+9. Use these forced combinations.
  2. List possible digit combinations for each run, then eliminate using crossing runs.
  3. Start with runs that have the fewest possible combinations.

4Finishing

  1. The puzzle is solved when every white cell is filled and all run sums are correct.
  2. There is always exactly one valid solution.
